HOTEL GARCI CRESPO

The Gral. Abelardo L. Rodríguez I accompany several times in his visits on Tehuacán on the Gral. The casino of the hotel had a splendid table of jack, but this agreeable place was devoured by the flames in 1985, getting lost the whole furniture.

During every May, 1949, the beach and the ponds of the hotel Spa Peñafiel, was beautiful decorated they were used as scene in the filming of the North American movie, The great theft, estelerarizada for Robert Mitchum and Ramon Novaro whom together with other artists thought that it was a place of dream and an authentic paradise.

At the beginning of them 90's, Mexican investors rescue the building of the Hotel Spa Peñafiel, which was divided in two fractions, remaining adapted in one of them the EuroAmerican University that at present is Inter-American University for the Development.

In the second fraction of the hotel, where there were the jacks, a bar, room of meetings and the pond, it was reconstructed and planned  a building of characteristics “ Contemporary Mexico ” in order that in September, 1994 the Hotel was inaugurated Marries Cantarranas, a building of modern concept, rustic Mexican of a Tehuacán who is renewed and who possesses an excellent highway Puebla-Tehuacán-Oaxaca.
